A – Tuesday evenings (3rdor 4th Tuesday of each month)

A – 6:45PM– 8:00PM

A – WilliamB. Orenic Intermediate School (5820 Theodore St, Plainfield, IL 60586)
Q – How often & when are Den meetings?
A – Depends on the Den; however, most meet on Tuesday evenings
·Lions – 1 meeting a month, unless Den leader decides otherwise
·Tigers, Wolves, Bears, & Webelos – One or Two Tuesdays per month at 6:30PM
Q – What is the difference between a “Pack” and a “Den”?
A – The Pack is comprised of several dens. A Den is a small group of Cub Scouts who are the same age &gender.
Q – What is the cost of joining Cub Scouts?
A – Lion rank annual dues are $100. All other rank annual dues are $150.
Q – What does my child’s scouting dues pay for?
A – Your dues pay for Den and Pack supplies & activities, Scout awards, recharter fees, leader training, Council events, camping activities, maintenance of the Rainbow Scout Reservation, and so much more!
Q – Do you do any fundraisers?
A – We do one annual required fundraiser. Each August-October, our Scouts sell popcorn to raise funds to support our local scouting program. These funds raised help to support our Pack& local Council on providing a quality Scout program to your child at a low cost.
Q – What age can you start Cub Scouts?
A – Boys& Girls can begin Cub Scouts once they begin Kindergarten
Q – What Den will my child be in?
A – Dens are based on your child’s age/grade
· Kindergarten – Lion
· 1st Grade – Tiger
· 2nd Grade – Wolf
· 3rd Grade – Bear
· 4th Grade – Webelo I
· 5th Grade – Webelo II
Q – What kind of involvement do parents have?
A – Cub Scouting is for the whole family! We encourage you to work on rank achievements at home, in addition to with your Den. Parents are expected to participate with volunteer needs such as special events, fundraisers, and meetings.
Q – What kind of activities do you do?
A – We do many different kinds of activities as a Pack & within Dens.
Some activities include:

·Spring Pack Family Campout (May)
·Float & Fly (June – Raingutter Regatta & Stomp Rockets)
·Cubmobile (July - Soap Box Derby racing)
·Holiday themed Pack nights
·Hiking outings
